ABNORMAL LOADS

All dimensions should be declared including the weight of vehicle. If the total weight exceeds 48 tons, please always contact Customer Service Team to confirm possibility of shipment.
WASTE TRANSPORT
All vehicles intending to transport waste should provide at least 24 hours notice to Customer Service Team:

Waste can only be transported on the open deck of the Stena Ebba and Stena Estelle.
All vehicles intending to transport dangerous goods, abnormal loads, waste or other specialised cargoes (e.g. animals) should provide at least 24 hours notice to Stena Line Freight reservation.
Stena Line reserves the right to decline to carry any such cargo that has not been pre-advised.
The customer is responsible for ensuring that the consignor and carrier of hazardous goods comply fully with all the regulations appropriate and applicable to the Carriage of Dangerous Goods by Sea, statutory or otherwise. In particular this refers to the provisions within the latest edition of the IMDG (International Maritime Dangerous Goods) Code, which also includes specific package and vehicle labeling / placarding requirements.
Vehicles carrying hazardous goods, and which are classified as dangerous goods when transported by sea, must be pre-booked i.e. units carrying dangerous goods must not be presented for shipment without the prior written permission of Stena Line Freight, or its representatives. In order to comply with Harbour regulations, notification is required at least 24 hours in advance. Transports with dangerous goods for the weekend must be notified before Friday 16 hrs with the exception of Class 1. Class 1 must be notified 36 hours before departure, for weekends at latest Thursday 18 hrs.
