Please be informed that a new EU Law comes into force as of 21 December 2019. It requires us to register information about all our passengers’ date of birth and therefore also applies to the freight drivers.
The new regulation applies to all Stena Line routes except for the following domestic routes:
Cairnryan – Belfast
Liverpool – Belfast
Heysham – Belfast
On our routes Rosslare-Cherbourg, Hoek van Holland-Harwich/Killingholme and Rotterdam-Harwich/Killingholme we are already collecting this information as required by the authorities.
Although this new regulation will not come into force until 21 December 2019, we have already started bringing in this requirement on most of our non-domestic routes to fully comply by the date which is just round the corner.
We appreciate your support and co-operation by informing your drivers about this new legal requirement when travelling on one of our non-domestic routes.
If you require any further information or clarification on this, please contact us.
