30 minutes prior to scheduled departure time 09:00 and 10:00 sailing
45 minutes prior to scheduled departure time 23:00 sailing
Unaccompanied
60 minutes prior to scheduled departure time 09:00 and 10:00 sailing
90 minutes prior to scheduled departure time 23:00 sailing
Hazardous
120 minutes prior to scheduled departure time
Exceptions for class 2.1 and <23 degrees hazardous = 180 minutes before departure time
Horses
When carrying horses and equine please check in 1 hour before the sailing.
Delivery of freight units
The delivery of any type of freight unit (both accompanied and unaccompanied) to the port of departure can only been done when a prior booking for a specific sailing has been confirmed. The freight unit will NOT be allowed entrance to the terminal without a confirmed booking.

General Booking Information
Lift-on / Lift-off traffic for containers
24 hours a day, but closed as follows:
From Saturday 20.00 hrs until Sunday 06.00 hrs.
Stamp check
According to our transportation conditions we will not do any stamp check
Plugging in reefers on the quay
There is no facility to plug-in reefers on the quay.
Dangerous substances
Transport units with dangerous substances which are being offered for shipment must be correctly placarded, according to the law, and are not allowed to be parked for more than 12 hours within the terminal area.
Freight Only Dangerous Goods are normally accepted on day boats only. Port Indemnities are required for Class 1 and Class 7. These classes can only be shipped to Europoort (Rotterdam).
Repairs to trailers by third parties
Harwich Int. Port will only allow repairmen to make repairs within the terminal area if they comply with the procedures as designated by the owner of the port.
Customs
H.M. Custom’s facilities are limited available in Harwich Port for both import and export requirements. All non-community status goods should be indicated on the manifest.
Euro Vignettes
Port Service office in Harwich is able to supply an Euro Vignettes.
Cut-off times for no show and late handling units:
Hoek van Holland – Harwich v.v.: 4 hrs.
Rotterdam – Harwich v.v.: 4 hrs.
Parking
Storage facilities
Accompanied vehicles are required to leave the port immediately after arrival.
Unaccompanied units should be collected within 48 hours after arrival.
Vehicles or trailers not intended for shipment are not permitted in the ports.
Demurrage/Standage charges
Charges for trailers or other equipment that remain on the quayside for a prolonged period of time may be charged parking/standage charges.
