This is the first notification to ensure that you will be prepared (changes to procedures for import movements to GB will apply from 1st January 2022 and will be advised separately).
Applicable for both driver accompanied and unaccompanied cargo as from 1st December 2021
1) Prior to check-in you will need to insert a UCR number into our booking system where it will be linked to the Destin8 inventory system
a. Full loads: DUCR
b. Groupage: MUCR.
i. We would like to advise you to pay extra attention to correct procedures when it comes to collecting groupage from multiple shippers and agents and the decision who will create the MUCR and DUCRc. All Transit cargo: In addition to the actual requirements you will need to add the MUCR or DUCR
i. Transits created in GB need a supporting Standard (not Arrived) export declaration (including a combined EXS) that will be arrived and granted P2P at portii. Transits created in the EU (for example landbridge Ex Ireland) need a further supporting Standard (not Arrived) EXS
- 2) Unaccompanied or driver accompanied units that are empty or contain empty returned packaging will need a standalone Standard EXS. You will have the option to insert a DUCR for an EXS you have created yourself, otherwise Stena will provide the EXS automatically*
- 3) If there is NO transport contract for a driver accompanied unit that is empty or contains empty returned packaging, no EXS is required; you can add “NOEXS” in the booking system in place of the UCR, otherwise Stena Line will provide an EXS automatically*
- 4) EXS if required for other unaccompanied or driver accompanied movements (that are not empty or contain empty returned packaging) must be created by the customer and the DUCR for the EXS added to Stena Line’s booking system.
*Please note that until further notice the creation of the EXS will be free of charge. It is likely that we will introduce a reasonable surcharge to cover for the occurred cost as from January 2022.
