Passport needed to cross the UK border from 1 October 2021

From 1 October 2021 EU, EEA or Swiss national ID cards will no longer be valid when crossing the UK border.

All drivers are therefore recommended to ensure to have a valid passport to avoid being refused to enter the UK and consequently have delay in the transport.
