At stena line we truly care about our relationships and appreciate working together with all our freight customers to ensure mutual growth and success. This year we have presented a lot of news that hopefully will contribute to a continued positive development for both your business and ours:
- The acquisition of superfast vii and superfast viii, two vessels that fit well into stena line’s development plans, both from a freight and a passenger perspective.
- Construction of our four new energy efficient ropax vessels that will be built on the avic weihai shipyard started.
- On karlskrona to gdynia a forth vessel, m/v gute, was put into service to meet the increasing demand from our freight customers, and on the north sea we have taken the decision to introduce two new vessels – another development to meet our customers’ increasing demands for more capacity.
- The opening of our new route from gdynia to nynäshamn – an important step where we see a strong demand from the market and also where we are building for the future.
Second to safety – which we always put in first in our operation – reliability and punctuality are key to us and part of our operational excellence. Delivering on punctuality is just as important for us as it is for you. It is also about saving bunker, reducing our environmental footprint and delivering on our customer promise.
In stena line we are on a digital transformation journey. We are changing our processes and working methods to allow us and our customers to work more efficiently and to enable us to focus on other demanding mattes.
Among a lot of plans for 2018 we have sustainability at heart and a central part of our efforts are focused on finding alternative non-fossil fuels as a replacement for traditional fuels. Therefore one of the milestones during 2018 is to test the operation of our vessels on bio methanol.
Now, at the end of this year when most of us will be celebrating the spirit of christmas, we would like to wish you and your families the very best. Thank you for your support in 2017. We look forward to doing business with you again in 2018.
