To motivate the transport operators to increase the number of fossil free lorries Gothenburg’s main terminal operators have established the project ‘Green Priority’. By supporting and prioritizing customers who focus on electric lorries we will accelerate the transition to fossil free vehicles in the harbours.
On 1 January 2022 ‘green’ vehicles will get special priority at our German Terminal (Majnabbe) in Gothenburg, which means customers can ‘skip the line’ when dropping trailers at the terminal, resulting in battery savings and a more efficient service.
At Stena Line we take new steps in our sustainability work every day and want to invite and motivate our customers to join the journey to a fossil free business. With the Green Priority project we create significant efficiency for customers who utilize electric lorries for the benefit of the environment both in the short, middle and long term.
The Green Priority is part of the TranZero, which is a collaboration between the Port of Gothenburg, Volvo, Scania and ourselves. The purpose of TranZero is to support fossil free transportation, resulting in 70% less carbon emission in the port area by 2030. Other initiatives will most likely floow over time in the TranZero collaboration.
