Society and regulations put higher and higher demands on what companies need to contribute with to create a healthier environment for people, societies, and our planet. Businesses are looking more into similarities with potential partners to find reliability, trustworthiness, and stability. It is becoming more transparent that caring for others is a priority when choosing who to work with.
Working sustainably might be a difficult concept to grasp, due to there being several perspectives on what is sustainable. To make it clearer we have created a path where we value high expectations on results and taking responsibility for our part in creating a sustainable future.
Studies show that companies with a clear sustainability agenda are also a more attractive workplace for employees. In fact, the study also shows that up to 70% of employees stay longer at a company that has an ambitious sustainability agenda. In the extreme development of new legislation on both direct and indirect sources of emissions, underwater noise and pollution, it is becoming apparent that we need to prioritise our efforts to meet the external demands, but also internal within our own company.
To make the most of our efforts and create transparency on what we are working on, we are focusing on five sustainability areas. With the agenda we hope to gain more insights and combine the efforts with efficiency, leading the work with sustainability in our industry forward. The identified five key areas that we have set long-term ambitions to are:
- No impact on climate
- No harm to the oceans
- Full responsibility in supply chain and CSR
- Safe, healthy, diverse, and gender equal workforce
- Responsible offers to our customers
