Which routes will introduce shared cabins?
Shared cabins will be introduced on all the North Sea routes as from the 1st of October.
Why is Stena Line North Sea introducing shared cabins?
The change will help us make better use of available cabin capacity on all departures. This allows us to accommodate more freight drivers and provide faster confirmation of accompanied bookings.
Who will my driver share a cabin with?
Where operationally possible, drivers will be allocated with drivers from the same company and/or nationality.
Can I still book a single cabin?
Yes. A single cabin can be selected as a preference when making your booking through the Stena Line Freight portal.
Is a single cabin guaranteed?
Single cabins are subject to availability when booking. Once a single cabin has been confirmed, it is guaranteed for that booking.
Is there an additional charge for a single cabin?
Yes. The applicable single-cabin surcharge, EUR 25, will only be charged when a single cabin is available and confirmed.
What happens if a single cabin is not available?
The booking can still be accommodated using our shared cabin allocation, subject to overall availability.
Will shared cabins apply to all departures?
Shared cabin allocation will form part of our standard accommodation arrangements, helping us optimise capacity particularly on all sailings.
When will the new arrangement take effect?
The new arrangement will apply from October 1st.
Who can I contact if I have specific requirements?
Please contact your usual Stena Line Freight representative to discuss any specific requirements.
