Safety & Security GB

S&S GB (Safety & Security Great Britain) is the Entry Summary Declaration (ENS) service for goods imported into Great Britain from the EU - a requirement from 31 January 2025

With effect from 31 January 2025, Safety & Security GB (S&S GB) declarations will be mandatory for all EU imports to the UK. This means businesses must provide additional information about their goods to UK customs. The responsibility for submitting S&S GB declarations lies with the carrier of the goods.

We can assist in ensuring the smooth processing of your goods on our North Sea routes. The following conditions specifically apply to these routes:

For units travelling via:

Temporary Storage: It will be mandatory to provide the ENS details via Stena Line.
– Unaccompanied + UK customs procedure TX
Pre-lodgement: It will be optional to provide the ENS details via Stena Line.
– (Un)accompanied + UK customs procedure PL/EX
– Accompanied + UK customs procedure TX

The required data for UK customs S&S declarations can be added directly in our Freight Portal. Please check the ENS Import S&S GB new fields:

New mandatory fields

Hazardous goods
New property to indicate if goods are Hazardous.

UN number
In case of shipping Hazardous goods, there is a new property to indicate the UN number.

For accompanied movements only:
Carrier / Haulier

EU or GB EORI
Name, Address, Postal Code, City, Country

Sender

EU or GB EORI
Name, Address, Postal Code, City, Country

Receiver

EU or GB EORI
Name, Address, Postal Code, City, Country

Before either the EORI or the Address details had to be filled in. With the implementation of SSD both are mandatory.

HS code
6 characters on goods level.

For units travelling via:
