Lift On / Lift Off Traffic
Stena Line only operates a “roll on / roll off” service for unaccompanied trailers and driver accompanied traffic. On request we provide “lo / lo” facilities for unaccompanied containers.
Exports from Denmark
Trailers without an advance booking being provided by the freight payer will not be allowed to enter the terminal area. Trailers must be pre-booked (trailer number and port of destination) prior to arrival at the terminal. These procedures are designed to improve port security and ensure that trailers awaiting shipment can be quickly identified and correctly loaded for final destination.
Import to Denmark
In order to satisfy security arrangements at the terminal, the collecting driver must report to the freight office before connecting to the trailer, where release notes are proved.
Loaded reefer trailers requiring temperature control during the voyage
Temperature (in degrees Celsius) must be indicated on the booking instructions.
General guidelines for shipment of special units (chassis/out of gauge)
- The unit must have enough fuel to be handled at the ship and in the ports
- The breathalyzer must be disconnected before handling in the port
- The battery must to be in good condition
- Drivers instructions (in English) must travel with the unit, otherwise handling cannot be guaranteed
- The unit must have fully functional brakes
- Non-compliance with the above guidelines could lead to additional costs, which will be charged to the customer
