Our Customs Support Department in Hoek van Holland specialises in the customs regulations on shipping goods between the Netherlands and the UK, i.e. the EU and a third country, as a result of Brexit. They are in contact with Dutch Customs, UK Border Force and other institutions for assistance from their side, to work together on new developments and to look for the most efficient procedures within this logistical process.
Furthermore, the team is in direct contact with our freight customers to advise and assist them in case of customs related questions, issues with customs procedures, and incorrectly declared details in need of amending.
The Customs Support Department can assist in amending the following details:
Eastbound shipments
- Customs status in ENS (Import <> transit, Loaded <> Empty, RP <> Import, etc.)
Disclaimer: declarations with an incorrect customs status may result in a Customs fine. - Amendments in Portbase (quantity, weight, goods description, Sender & Receiver)
- Add or delete a consignment in Portbase
Westbound shipments
- Amendments in Destin8 (quantity, weight, goods description)
- Add or delete a split in Destin8
